Previs Generalist
Nvizage is currently seeking freelance UK based Previs Generalists to join our Previsualization team for film productions, based at studio locations around London UK.
Previs Generalists work with Previs Supervisors and VFX Supervisors and are involved in all aspects of the creation of previs, including asset creation, texturing, layout, lighting, shot creation and basic compositing. We are looking for experienced CG all rounders who thrive in a fast paced environment, who have excellent communication and problem solving skills, understand when to compromise and make changes on the fly to ensure delivery of previs within time limits. Applicants should have a proven track record creating previs for film productions, good layout and cinematic skills are mandatory.
Requirements:
• 3+ years production experience. Feature film experience is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge in the following software packages: Maya.
• Team orientated and able to take direction from Supervisor.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Adaptable and flexible and accepting of changes.
• Applicants must be EU based.
Skills:
• Comprehensive knowledge of Maya.
• Generalist skills essential -modeling, texturing, animation, lighting, and compositing.
• Expert knowledge of Photoshop essential.
• Excellent cinematic skills – composition, framing, depth of field and timings.
• Ability to visualise shots and understand screen direction.
• Understanding of physical limits in real-world cinematography.
• Knowledge of rigging, mel/python scripting very useful.
• Experience with virtual camera systems.
• Knowledge of geometry caching.
• Basic knowledge of particle animation.
• Understanding of basic lighting.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Motion Builder useful.
• 3D tracking and match moving skills a plus.
• Knowledge of Boujou, PFTrack useful.
• Film school background and/or on-set experience preferable.

Previs Asset Builder
Nvizage is currently seeking freelance UK based Asset Builders to join our Previsualization team for film productions, based at studio locations around London UK.
Assets Builders work with Previs Supervisors and Art Directors to create all the necessary CG Assets for exciting and inspiring previs content, including but not limited to humans, vehicles, creatures, environments and props. Key skills involve understanding and interpreting art department plans, conceptual illustrations, sourcing visuals from the web and translating digital files from other sources such as Solidworks and Google sketch-up. Models need to be built specifically with previs and virtual production requirements, and optimised for near real-time performance as possible. Basic knowledge of efficient lighting and shading techniques are all important skills.
Job Description:
• Creating all required digital assets.
• Topoligising models for they clean and efficient for production.
• Creating the appropriate geometry LOD for the asset in context of it’s usage.
• Efficient creation of UV coordinates and UV spaces.
• Texture creation for assets.
• Effcient use and propogation of textures at an appropriate resolution for the asset in context.
• Creating model turntables, displaying good topology and shading.
• Creation of lighting rigs, appropriate for previs and virtual production usage.

Previs Animator
Nvizage is currently seeking freelance UK based Animators to join our Previsualization team for film productions, based at studio locations around London UK.
Previs animators work with the Previs supervisor and VFX supervisor to design and create shots for complex action sequences. We are looking for talented animators, capable of working in a rapid environment with proven track records in the film production industry. Skills in layout, timing and great cinematography are essential, as well as excellent communication skills.
Job Description:
• Referencing and importing and exporting assets in to Maya.
• Motions studies of keys assets, animation cycles etc.
• Scene layout with asset environments, position and timing of assets and camera layout.
• Animating character rigs, camera rigs, and basic fx animation.
• Play blasting shots for review in editorial.
Requirements:
• 3+ years production experience. Feature film experience is preferred.
• Knowledge in the following software packages: Maya.

Motion Builder Operator
Nvizage is currently seeking freelance UK based Motion Builder Operators to join our Previsualization team for feature film productions, based at studio locations around London UK.
Job Description:
• Importing and exporting assets to and from Maya and Motion Builder.
• Setup and organisation of assets and rigs which require motion capture.
• Calibration and management of our Virtual Camera System(s).
• Recording takes of camera and animation action from the Virtual Camera System.
• Exporting quicktime movie files of recorded takes.
Requirements:
• 2+ years production experience. Feature film experience is preferred.
• Knowledge in the following software packages: Motion Builder and Maya.
• Applicants must be EU based.
Skills:
• Character/Creature Rigging in Maya and Motion Builder
• Motion Capture editing and data cleanup in Motion Builder.
• Retargeting motion data in Motion Builder.
